To make our village history available to the wider community the Group produced Kineto
n: the Village and its History (1999). A brief history of the village is complemented by a series of guided walks around the village, describing its notable buildings and past characters. The book is available at £6.50. + £1.60 p&p
Our member, Gillian Ashley-Smith, has researched the life of the village in the Great War, and written an account of all the Kineton men who served and the individuals who contributed to the war effort. Kineton in the Great War 1914 -1921 (1998) is a fitting commemoration of their sacrifice. The book is available at £8.95 + £1.60 p&p.
Another member, David Gill, has written a brief history of methodism in Kineton, The Kineton Methodists (1993) available at £1.00 + £1.50 p&p.
